A gift of education lasts a lifetime. And a gift of an educational endowment lasts forever. There is no better way to memorialize a loved one or honor a life well lived than with a gift to St. Joseph High School’s Endowed Scholarship Program.
Established in 1992, the Endowed Scholarship Program provides a source of scholarship funds to assist students with limited financial resources, promoting diversity among our students while nurturing the advancement of tomorrow's leaders. The Endowed Scholarship Program at St. Joseph High School helps ensure that no student is
denied an education at St. Joseph's due to financial circumstances.
What is required to establish a scholarship?
A St. Joseph High School Endowed Scholarship may be established by an individual, organization or a group with a gift of $10,000 or more. Scholarships may be funded with a one-time gift or may also be financed by a series of installments.
How are scholarships named and donors recognized?
Donors can name scholarships in honor or in memory of individuals, an organization or themselves. Endowed Scholarship donors are recognized with a personalized plaque on permanent display in the administration building.
How are students chosen?
The Endowed Scholarship Fund provides education grants for students in need. First time applicants must submit an Education Grant Application provided by the school registrar, a copy of the 1040 tax form, the student’s most recent report card and a letter of recommendation from their pastor, principal or teacher. Students receiving assistance are expected to maintain good academic grades each semester and exhibit good conduct, cooperation and spirit. The total record of each grant recipient is reviewed annually and is renewable upon completion and approval of another financial report.
